Projet: Technical Coal Mine in Amaga. Amount of investment: USS4.1 million. This is a project establishment of a semi-technical underground coal mine in the Amaga region in Antioguia. The coal deposited in this region is very low in sulfur, moderate in ash, and high in flammable content. It can be used, and will be required, in large volumes for various thermoelectric plants which are planned in western Colombia. The capacity of the mine would be 400 to 500 thousand tons per year.

Colombia produces coffee, bananas, flowers, gold, vehicles, oil and coal for the world.
